Cupcakes d'amour IV - Forever Love

The word forever seems like a long time,
but if you're with the person you love then forever isn't long enough.

- Daniel Martinez -

To me, simple and perpetual, the essence of love.
Love forever, to Kevin and Agnes.

The Baby In My Heart Is Waking Up

It's a tradition for Chinese to celebrate Full Moon for baby who is one month old. Usually we prepare ang koo, a type of green been paste dessert, nasi kunyit, a type of yellow ginger steamed rice, chicken curry and red coloured eggs to be distributed to relatives and friends.

When time changes, there are people starts to give away fast food vouchers for friends instead of traditional food preparation. It's interesting.

Cupcakes have become so popular in the country. Hence, there're more and more people start to accept the idea of giving away cupcakes as full moon gift too. So, I'm wondering I could include this package in MND Cakes menu.

Here are two design that I played with yesterday. Hopefully when I'm free, I can create more of these cutie baby stuff designs.

Milk bottle and little heart in mama's heart.

Yay, I'm one month old!
I guess the child, oh no, baby in my heart is waking up, hehe...

Here's a sample of fullmoon gift box prepared by us. If you're interested, please drop us an email for further details.

Cupcakes d'amour III - Love Under Rainbow

Love Is......

Love is the greatest feeling,
Love is like a play,
Love is what I feel for you,
Each and every day,
Love is like a smile,
Love is like a song,
Love is a great emotion,
That keeps us going strong,
I love you with my heart,
My body and my soul,
I love the way I keep loving,
Like a love I can't control,
So remember when your eyes meet mine,
I love you with all my heart,
And I have poured my entire soul into you,
Right from the very start.

- Meghan -

Love is a like a pleasant surprise, under the rainbow....

SH likes Elizabeth to be happy always. Warm.

Cupcakes d'amour II - Puppy Love

My love, my heart, my soul is my gift to you
Your smile, your love is the only reward I would want

Precious, like a gem made by angels to shine forever
Releasing the passion inside me that burns for you
Intertwining our destinies, so that we two soul mates
Now and forever, can live out our hopes and dreams
Creating our own bond of life, to overcome the challenges
Explore the mysteries, and to enjoy life as it should be
Sharing the peace and love, that everyone looks for
So in the end I want nothing, because I have everything I need

- Brian Bihari -

Do they remind you of your puppy love? ^.^

Cupcakes d'amour I ~ And We Dance...

Soft gentle stare
Warm tender touch
You took my hand
And we danced
Arms around me
Light dragging moves
Cheek warm against mine
Breathing deep from the soul
Long have I searched
Finally I have found
When you took my hand
And we danced
- Gladys Huraño -

Ooh......how romantic they are......

Stand Up CJ7

My nephew loves CJ 7.

He asked me to make a CJ7 cake for him. I almost forgot til he reminded me again by bringing his CJ7 for me as reference. Worries arose. Is it possible to make CJ7's 'horn' standing up? What about his big eyes in black colour? If I have an edible blank ink pen, it would be simple. I just draw it out.

Then I asked mom to help. Haha...mom is more creative than me at times. She scrutinized her kitchen and came out with a few pieces of raisins, "Hey, why don't you try these?"

"Yes mom, Good idea!" I tried to cut the raisins into CJ7's eyes shape and sticked on the sockets, hehe, I did it.

The horn easily stood up with the use of tragacanth gum strengthened fondant, yeh, I did it again.

So here they are, Chuen couldn't stop smiling while playing with his new toys ------ CJ7 cupcakes.

He told me that CJ7 was not supposed to stand. Really? I thought he danced. Ok, then let him squad and urinate, hehe...

Happy Family Cake, The Japanese Style

She's a woman who puts her family at the first place.

She and hubby simply love Japanese culture til they name their kids after Japanese.

She has a boy and a girl, and expecting another baby boy.

She's celebrating her 30th birthday.

Everything seems good and perfect for her.

I promised her a special cake on her birthday. Naturally, I came across the idea of sculpting the figurines of her happy family, the Japanese style. But, but......

I forgot about her expecting baby, look at the mummy's stomach, it's flat, :p.

"I will make another sugar baby for you after your baby comes out....hehe!!"

"Ok, next year, another cake for me."

"Err......"

The sculpting is fun, though time-consuming, but Japanese style again?

Hopefully with more cake decoration tools and paste food colourings in hand soon, I'd add more details to their clothes besides more colour options next time.

After presenting a few cakes to friends and family, the only problem I found with fondant decorated cakes is most of the cakes were ended up being kept in fridge as the recipients hated to send them into stomach. :)

p/s: Sorry for the poor photo quality. The pictures were taken with phone camera as my digital is spoilt. Need to get a new one soon.
